Travel from the city to Avondale to view the biggest spider in New Zealand. A brief stop in Titirangi to buy lunch (not included) then into the picturesque Waitakere Ranges and its scenic lookout and information centre with spectacular views of the Manukau harbour and the lovely Waitemata harbour.

Next stop is the Tasman Sea and Piha Beach on the wild west coast – known around the world for its great surfing and black sand. Time for a lunch break before our walk into the beautiful native rainforest, following a natural stream to a crystal clear waterfall seeing stunning Kauri trees, silver ferns and much more.

Next we travel to view Karekare Beach for the clean fresh air, wild open beach and one more waterfall.

We return to your place of stay, invigorated after a memorable day out.

Good walking shoes are recommended and a general level of fitness is required. The youngest person to do this tour was six years old, and the oldest was over 70!
