Venue One
After a 20 minute trip from Auckland city, we arrive in the quaint town of Riverhead. A paradise that sits amongst the Kiwi countryside. A New Zealand first, Riverhead has its own locally-brewed beer exclusively on tap in the local pub.
Venue Two
Travel through fabulous green countryside to our next stop on the North Shore. A traditional NZ style bar with local brews to taste. One of my favourite beers is served here.
Venue Three
Back to the top of Auckland City. We visit the only producer of cask conditioned real ale. The ales here contain no sugars or preservatives, and are not filtered or pasteurised. They are not artificially carbonated or served under pressure.
Venue Four
Travel into the city centre to New Zealand’s first brew pub. This 100-year-old English-style pub offers a range of award-winning beers brewed on-site. These beers will impress anyone who knows their beers.
After a very educational afternoon making new friends and tasting some great beers, we return.
